Micro/ Moments
Microagressions happen unconsciously or consciously in interpersonal communication. They are part of the diversity discourse that reveals the norms of society and attributions based on appearance, age, gender and color. As diverse as life realities are, marginalized people experience microagressions as evaluations and sometimes even as exclusion. Isn't this marginalising norm then a heavy burden and ultimately a loss for everyone? No one is free as long as a single person is still being discriminated. Sometimes it is a look, a gesture, a word- just Micro/Momente. They are intensified by everyday repetition and becoming more complex and greater in its effect – just like the emotions. In this piece the dancers explore these feelings in a deepness which comes though repetition of choreography and communicating with each other.
